SaphirKeramik features at Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Etienne

Opened on 12th March and running until the 12th April the 9th International Biennale of Design in Saint-Etienne near Lyon, France. Its general theme "The sense of beauty" will be explored through nearly sixty exhibitions and includes the SaphirKeramik basin designed by Konstantin Grcic. 

Sam Hecht and Kim Colin propose an installation entitled "Beauty as unfinished business." will take place in the Cité du design. The perception, interpretation and analysis of what is beautiful in design cannot be generic. Everyone can find that something is "really beautiful" while anyone else can say the opposite. The exhibit seeks to explore and question what do forms produced say about the way of life, the usages and practices of a society.

On the occasion of the Bienniale Internationale Design Saint Étienne 2015, Sam Hecht and Kim Colin curate an exhibition entitled 'Beauty as unifinished business' that attempts to describe designed beauty through 35 recently produced items.
