Exploring “Brazilianness”

The Impressoes 2015 is a conceptual and innovative project, inviting ten renowned Brazilian professionals for a reinterpretation of the Living Square washbasin, based on their views on the theme of "Brazilianness". The project will be launched on 17 September at The Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion designed by Oscar Niemeyer.

The first edition of the Impressions by Laufen brought together a different group of ten renowned Brazilian designers and architects who presented exclusively their interpretations of the theme "Brazil in Intimacy." The result exceeded all expectations, generating an intense fascination with the unique nature of these products and prompting a continuation of the project for 2015.

With the theme "Brazil: verse and reverse," the project 2015 seeks to explore the concept of “Brazilianness” through the creative vision of renowned professionals of different design disciplines; Antônio Ferreira Júnior, Mario Celso Bernardes, Arthur Casas, Christian Cravo, Derlon Almeida, Jader Almeida, João Armentano, Marko Brajovic, Patricia Anastassiadis, Ricardo Bello Dias , Ronaldo Frago.

Using the round Living washbasin bowl as a blank canvas the ten Brazilian architects and designers recreated their very own personal interpretation of the "Brazilianness” theme.

At an exclusive event at The Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion designed by Oscar Niemeyer and located in the heart of Sao Paulo, the washbasins will be revealed on Wednesday 17th September 2015.
