Laufen with multifaceted presence during imm cologne.
Trade Fair – Museum – Passages
LAUFEN was part of imm cologne from 15 to 21 January 2018. With its new trade fair format, “Pure Architects”, the international interior design trade fair was focusing on the bathroom as a living space. This is an environment where LAUFEN feels right at home, since the bathroom expert specialises in design, cosiness and living quality.
LAUFEN showcased spectacular highlights and practical solutions from its multifaceted range of products at Stand A32 in Hall 4.2. The new SaphirKeramik Sonar collection (designed by Patricia Urquiola), printed floor-standing washbasins and a washbasin cabinet combination for small bathrooms from the Kartell by Laufen collection (designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba), the beautifully designed and highly functional Cleanet Riva shower toilet (designed by Peter Wirz), the Val (designed by Konstantin Grcic) and Ino (designed by Toan Nguyen) bathroom collections, as well as premium bathroom furniture from the Boutique collection will be on display.
Architects, planners and interior designers were invited to experience the aesthetics, quality and practicality of LAUFEN’s bathroom objects for themselves – the project team from LAUFEN Germany will be available to answer any questions.
One highlight of this year’s imm cologne was the “Stylepark Selected” scenography in the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne (MAKK). From Monday to Sunday, STYLEPARK presented selected innovations and attractions from imm at the prestigious venue. LAUFEN has been invited as a special guest to exhibit its acclaimed ceramic presentation “A Curated Art Show. What?” created to commemorate the company’s 125th anniversary in cooperation with renowned architects and designers.
As part of Passages, LAUFEN could also be found in the award-winning ULTRAMARIN showroom in the Old Gasworks. The charming industrial atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for the Sonar collection and the Cleanet Riva shower toilet, which was presented to the general public. LAUFEN also was represented at architektenforum@Loft.2, creating a space for communication, information and training on application security, through direct dialogue between manufacturers, architects, object planners and tradespeople. There also was point of experience for the RIVA shower toilet at the event. Cocktails at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, powered by Stylepark.
The ELMER BAD exhibition space hosted a special exhibition on bathrooms for visitors to the Passages again. One of the main attractions this year was the Kartell by Laufen collection, making a big splash with the SaphirKeramik washstands, bathroom furniture and colourful accessories, as well as Val, designed for LAUFEN by Konstantin Grcic.
The rooms of The Midtown Hotel, a stylish boutique hotel in the heart of Cologne, were also fitted out with Kartell by Laufen. On the evening of Monday, 15/1/2018, LAUFEN and design magazine H.O.M.E. were co-hosting a cocktail party for invited guests.
