All together now.

LAUFEN returns for the eagerly anticipated inaugural HIX event at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London from 18. – 19. November 2021. Not only celebrating the opportunity to enjoy progressive dialogue with interior design practises, architects, hotel groups, agents, subsidiaries and prefabrication groups, it is also the moment to acknowledge ten years of Global Projects at LAUFEN.

Over the last 10 years the team, led by Ilker Hussein, Global Projects Corporate has nurtured and grown a vision to create a dialogue for the democratisation of initiatives throughout the organisation. We all naturally gravitate to partners who share our values whether that be in design, sustainability, locality or corporate leadership. We call it Kinship – a supportive network of over 120 Global Project Managers whose profound ability is to facilitate the most complex network of interested parties into a cohesive group for the seemingly effortless delivery of hotel projects, frequently across multiple borders.

Over the last 10 years projects have been realised where designers, hotel groups, developers and investors located in multiple countries have been supported by the internal Global Project structure to implement prestigious design projects such as the Public Hotel New York, Mondrian Doha, Hyatt Regency Moscow, W Hotel Ibiza, Art House Basel, Nobu Shoreditch London, Gekko House Frankfurt, Crowne Plaza Warsaw, as well as brand roll outs across multiple locations for hotel brands including Moxy and Hampton by Hilton.

Recent wins include the Sofitel Mexico City, Swissotel Doha and the iconic Katara Lusail Towers in Doha, featuring the iconic Raffles and Fairmont Hotels, all of which are from within the Accor Group whose Global Vice-President Design Luxury & Premium Brands, Federico Toresi comments “The strength of LAUFEN is their understanding of our project needs, from a commercial angle as well as from a guest experience perspective, which is always our priority. Their knowledge means we can find solutions for every project. There are viable alternatives out there, but few can provide the service and vision that LAUFEN gives us.”

LAUFEN can be found in the prominent position near to the main, where visitors will be able to meet members of the LAUFEN global projects team and see products from Kartell • LAUFEN and The New Classic to a backdrop of the recent Kartell • LAUFEN creative campaign devised by Hugo Comte, more widely known for his fashion photography. In keeping with his usual style, he has produced dynamic shots, where young models, seem to be playing with the ceramic and plastic components of the collection, almost wearing them or transforming them into accessories that break through the boundaries of the bathroom.
