DESIGN IN MOTION
The design of the LAUFEN space Delhi takes its inspiration from the kaleidoscope, a timeless emblem of diversity, vibrancy, and shifting perspectives. More than a metaphor, the space is conceived as a platform for architects, designers, and the wider creative community: a place where ideas, culture, and innovation converge.
A serene, neutral envelope—defined by clean lines, refined minimalism, and choreographed lighting—sets the foundation. Against this calm canvas, color emerges not as ornament but as protagonist. Bespoke acrylic rod partitions ripple through the space like crystalline curtains. Their shifting tones and translucency respond to movement and light, transforming each visitor’s experience.
ARCHITECTURAL LANGUAGE
Designed by the architecture studio Ultraconfidentiel, the LAUFEN space Delhi is built around a concept inspired by the kaleidoscope, understood as a symbol of diversity, transformation, and multiple perspectives. This idea is interpreted through a serene architectural language shaped by clean lines, refined surfaces, and controlled illumination. Within this neutral envelope, subtle interventions of colour introduce shifts in perception, creating a dynamic yet balanced spatial experience. Custom acrylic rod partitions act as chromatic filters that respond to movement and light, adding rhythm and fluidity while maintaining overall clarity.
CRAFTED IMMERSION
The space unfolds as an immersive journey: textures, finishes, and light frame LAUFEN’s premium products, elevating them into sculptural works of art. In harmony, the office balances openness and focus. Collaborative hubs and quiet zones are interwoven with natural daylight and subtle biophilic gestures that soften the architectural precision. Handcrafted tiles by Indian artisans bring regional authenticity, each piece a testament to tradition and craft.
This area offers a distinct atmosphere that complements the main Gallery. Defined by a darker and more intimate palette, it enhances the sculptural qualities and precision of LAUFEN’s premium collections.
