Laufen attended the Week of Design and Fashion because of popularity and internationality of this festival that from 16 years populate the capital city of artists and designers who sign innovative projects both in industry and in the furniture sectors.
A stage with 200 exhibitors and an enthusiastic public that last year reached 42,000 visitors. The philosophy of Designblok has not changed over the years: a careful and strict selection of original and quality works, signed by both emerging artists and successful designers.
Laufen CZ - the largest manufacturer of a comprehensive range of bathroom products in the Czech Republic, has made a breakthrough step in the course of Designblok 2014 events.
Upon extensive and challenging reconstruction work, its Prague Gallery Art of Bathrooms on náměstí I.P. Pavlova, has opened for the general public. This quite unusual, clean and peaceful oasis of Laufen, Roca and Jika brands has been designed to present everything from practical items through real gems that could easily be displayed at prestigious show-rooms right next to other artworks.
The gallery occupies two floors with the total floor space of more than 700 m2. Ceramic products are attractive for their faultless workmanship, offered in timeless product series perfected to the tiniest detail, including brand faucets, authentic furniture with mirrors and light fittings, as well as shower enclosures with shower trays or bathtubs featuring sophisticated shapes.
Laufen present also the new SaphirKeramik. The conceptual projects by Konstantin Grcic and Toan Nguyen, which, ever since their launch, have been meeting with great success and recognition.
Here to launch the new “Prague Art Gallery of the Bathroom” were the world-renowned designers Roberto and Ludovica Palomba, who personally inaugurated the gallery on Thursday 9 October at 18:00 and presented a lecture for all those with a keen interest in bathroom design. Among Roberto and Ludovica Palomba’s best-known designs for the bathroom are the Palomba Collection and Kartell by Laufen.
