Tauern Spa, Zell am See – Kaprun, Austria

The Tauern Spa in Zell am See - Kaprun promises an exciting encounter with nature, architecture and wellness. Operated by Vamed Vitality World, it comprises a water and sauna world measuring 20,000 m², 17 spa treatment rooms as well as a 4-star-superior resort.

Just like an atoll, the different buildings of the complex are grouped around a central, round place. The spectacular architecture creates secure spaces and at the same time water landscapes, quiet zones and sauna areas open up to their surroundings. Boundaries between interior and exterior spaces seem to disappear; holohedral glass façades give way to extraordinary views of the glacier, mountains and the lake.

The water world can boast about 11 active and relaxing pools offering a grotto, light, muscle relaxation, massage jets for neck and back and brine baths among other things. Guests can relax in 10 saunas and steam baths or get pampered with a massage or treatment in the spa. The glass skyline pool certainly is a highlight offering an exceptional panoramic view of the Alps.

All facilities are designed in a barrier-free way. Washrooms and bathrooms are equipped with living city washbasins and caprino plus urinals.

The Tauern Spa considers itself as a base camp from where the inner, the well-being of body and soul, as well as the outer, the striking natural site, are explored.
