Apetit Split Restaurant: Where history meets design excellence

Nestled in the heart of Split, Croatia, lies Apetit Split Restaurant, a culinary haven like no other. This exceptional dining establishment is housed in the ancient Diocletian's Palace, an historical gem and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The interior of the restaurant is adorned with original stone walls, a testament to centuries of history. In 2021, it found a new home, beautifully transformed by the talented designer Lea Aviani, owner of Projectum. This remarkable project, adorned with her award-winning design furniture, seamlessly blends tradition and innovation to create a truly unique dining experience.

Lea Aviani was born in Split, Croatia and graduated from the School of Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb. She founded Projectum, a company that brings together industrial designers, architects and civil engineers for a wide range of non-industrial design projects. Together with her team, LAP (LEA AVIANI+PROJECTUM), they focus on research, professional work and artistic activities in design and architecture. Lea’s design philosophy harmonises Mediterranean tradition with innovation, creating emotionally expressive works such as the Apetit Split restaurant.

The timeless ambience of the restaurant is enhanced by LAUFEN’s elegant THE NEW CLASSIC washbasin. This sophisticated product has a polished underside. Its dimensions make it a delicate yet functional addition to this historic setting. The white colour adds a touch of contemporary elegance to the restaurant’s rich historical surroundings.

Experience the culinary and design innovation in a place where history meets modernity. The Apetit Split restaurant, designed by Lea Aviani and featuring LAUFEN’s THE NEW CLASSIC small washbasin, invites you to enjoy not only exceptional cuisine, but also the beauty of the past reinterpreted for the present.
