A Brewery Transformed – New headquarters of Cēsu alus

Designers Anete Antoneviča and Zane Apsīte developed the interiors by translating the essence of brewing into spatial gestures. The rise of foam, the sparkle of bubbles and the smooth movement of liquid inform a design language defined by rounded silhouettes, soft transitions and warm, organic tones. 

Across the building, sculptural seating, curved mirrors and circular details reinforce this flowing narrative, shaping a workplace that is tactile, expressive and closely connected to the brand’s heritage.

Within this context, LAUFEN’s ILBAGNOALESSI collection in caffè matt becomes an integral architectural element. Its iconic curves and refined geometry resonate naturally with the interior’s organic vocabulary. 

Washbasins, toilets and urinals appear as sculptural components rather than purely functional fixtures. Their matt finish and smooth contours echo the building’s material warmth, contributing to spaces that feel both contemporary and grounded.

Although the headquarters embrace a modern and at times futuristic character, the material palette ensures a welcoming and human-centred environment. Natural textures, soft lighting and fluid circulation foster a sense of calm and clarity throughout the building. 

The integration of LAUFEN installation systems and flush plates provides the technical reliability and everyday comfort required in a contemporary workplace, ensuring long-term performance without compromising design intent.

The new headquarters of Cēsu alus demonstrate how architecture and interior design can articulate a brand’s identity through space. With organic forms, warm materials and carefully selected bathroom solutions, the project offers a considered approach to contemporary workplace environments in Latvia, balancing functionality, atmosphere and material expression.
