Pangu 7 Star Hotel, Beijing, China

The 234-room Pangu 7 Star Hotel is an extravagant modern hotel which is set to become a distinct symbol for 21st-century China.

Located near the 2008 Beijing Olympic Park it offers breath-taking views of the “Bird’s Nest” National Stadium and “Water Cube” Aquatic Centre.

The hotel is part of Pangu Plaza, a complex comprising offices, luxury serviced apartments, restaurants, a shopping mall and 21-storey high Pangu 7 Star Hotel. Pangu Plaza was built by the famous Taiwanese architect C. Y. Lee, who also constructed the second-tallest building in the world, the “Taipei 101”. The complex is designed in Chinese postmodernist style and resembles the form of the most powerful and auspicious animal in the Chinese zodiac, the dragon.

Ricardo Bello Dias succeeded in creating a balance between Chinese classical tradition and contemporary European glamour for the hotel’s interiors. Rarest Italian marble, sophisticated rosewood carvings, hand-embroidered silk wallpapers, reproductions of the Forbidden City as well as contemporary furnishings, lighting and technology of top brands make Pangu 7 Star Hotel the finest hotel in Beijing.
