Thanks to the new EasyFit 2.0 mounting system, just one sanitary fitter can now install wall-hung WCs from LAUFEN extremely quickly and easily – no assistance is needed. Prefabricated mounting rods also eliminate cutting to length with a saw and lots of plastic waste.
The concealed attachment of wall-hung WCs has visual and hygienic benefits as a flawless ceramic surface without cover caps looks better and can be effortlessly kept clean. To ensure that installing the wall-hung WC is just as effortless, LAUFEN has continued to adapt its new EasyFit 2.0 mounting system to the installer’s workflow.
With EasyFit 2.0, all assembly steps are consistently optimised for simplicity and accuracy, practically self-explanatory, and for the most part do not require tools. Cutting the water inlet and outlet pipe to length takes up most of the installation time. The WC comes with just a few mounting parts which can be installed very quickly, cutting down the overall installation time for WC ceramics with EasyFit 2.0 to record levels. Especially on large-scale projects with many sanitary units, this can save a lot of time, effort and personnel – and reduce costs.
For concealed installation of the wall-hung WC, all that is required is to slide the spacers with the newly developed click system onto the threaded rods in the wall and screw on the threaded bolts. The mounting element is inserted into the prepared recess in the lavatory and the mounting rod is screwed into the mounting element. After the inlet and outlet pipe have been fitted, the WC is then simply pushed onto the threaded bolts. A distinct click indicates that the connection is locked and the WC is securely pre-fixed to the wall. The mounting rods are turned clockwise using a standard ratchet wrench to pull the WC against the wall. One skilled person is enough for the entire procedure.
The mounting rods are made of fibreglass-reinforced plastic with a metal screw thread and are manufactured at the factory precisely for the required installation depth of the respective wall-hung WC. They therefore do not have to be specially cut to length on the construction site – this saves work time, prevents measuring errors and also avoids a lot of plastic waste which, LAUFEN has calculated, can add up to around 24,000 linear metres per year. With the aid of the mounting rod, the hanging lavatory is now tightened and adjusted. Then put on the seat and cover, align and tighten – job done.
Dismantling the wall-hung WC is just as quick and easy with EasyFit 2.0. This is done by simply unscrewing and removing the vertical mounting rods again, and then tilting the WC slightly forwards and removing it. The new EasyFit 2.0 mounting system will be available from March 2023 with all wall-hung WCs from LAUFEN, including the new silent flush WCs. For the latter, LAUFEN has also developed matching sound insulation pads that can be installed very quickly and cleanly.
