The Artist Boutique Hotel, nestled in the heart of Vienna's enchanting 8th district, has undergone a transformative renovation, emerging as a five-star hotel that marries luxurious boutique design with an authentic celebration of creativity. Bringing a bohemian creativity to the hotel's bathrooms, public washrooms, and staff facilities; The New Classic, together with elements from the LAUFEN pro series, underscoring a commitment to elegance and functionality.

Designed by renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, The New Classic harmonises classic aesthetics with contemporary practicality and includes ceramics, furniture, bathtubs, and fittings that have been designed to celebrate both sensuality and everyday usability. For the Artist Boutique Hotel, this reimagining of traditional elegance was pivotal. Owner Oliver Braun encapsulates the desired aesthetic as “Simple, attractive, elegant.”

Freestanding washbasins and minimalist dark cabinets, evoke the charm of historical washstands, while the modern basin mixers add a contemporary aesthetic. The seemingly floating toothbrush holders, inspired by the form of a white tulip head, and the ceramic mirrors from the same collection, seamlessly integrate into the bathroom’s sophisticated design. Completing the ensemble are Marbond shower trays, fittings, and hand showers from LAUFEN.

The LAUFEN LIS installation system has also enhanced the renovation process for the project by ensuring optimal integration between behind-the-wall components and visible design elements. This system maximizes bathroom space, providing greater freedom for creative design. Its water-saving dual-flush feature, activated via sleek, timeless white flush plates, epitomises efficiency and sustainability.
