LCC Active works by sealing even the tiniest of pores in the ceramic glaze, resulting in an ultra-smooth surface with a roughness of just 0.00001 millimetre, three times smoother than conventional glazes. The inorganic silicate-based material gives a superior smoothness, minimising the adherence of dirt, limescale, and germs, making it easier for water to wash them away. Simultaneously, LCC Active eliminates over 99.9% of bacteria and significantly reduces viruses within 24 hours, thanks to the biocidal agent Copper. The hydrophilic surface also enhances the distribution and effectiveness of cleaning agents, allowing for the use of gentler, more environmentally friendly cleaning products.

This has been confirmed by independent testing institutes following the strict requirements of ISO 21702:2019 and ISO 22196:2011. A patent application has been filed.
