LAUFEN at ISH 2025 highlights sustainability with the world’s first electric kiln for sanitary ceramics, water-saving solutions, smart technology and holistic bathroom design.
LAUFEN at ISH 2025 puts innovation and sustainability at its core, inviting visitors to experience the engaging space centred around its core topics: continuous technological research, the evolution of design, the dialogue with the world of architecture and above all a future that adopts a design mindset that prioritises taking care of the planet and its natural resources.
Developed by LAUFEN's parent company, Roca Group, the world's first electric tunnel kiln for sanitary ceramics is central to our commitment to reducing our impact on people and the environment. At ISH 2025, visitors are invited to take a closer look at the innovation that enables ceramics to be fired without carbon emissions at the Gmunden factory in Austria. The VOLTA collection is currently fired using this technology, with further collections set to follow.
LAUFEN also knows that the use of water and recycled wastewater are fundamental to our future and represent significant challenges and opportunities. The revolutionary urine-separation toilet, save!, is showcased at ISH 2025. Developed in collaboration with Austrian design studio EOOS, the Source Separation Technology diverts urine from the remaining wastewater through a channel inside the toilet. This approach ensures that various types of waste are processed more efficiently, enabling the recovery of valuable resources while appearing like a standard toilet. save! is currently in use in locations around the world.
The beautiful water installation at the LAUFEN booth at ISH 2025 showcases the flow control features in our faucets and shower controls. Visitors can discover the extensive options created in collaboration with international designers that integrate flow control into elegant aesthetics. Moreover, the product life of faucets is extended by the ready availability of spare parts, enabling faucets to be fixed rather than discarded should a problem arise.
Water conservation for building managers is a particular challenge and LAUFEN continues to develop smart solutions for public and semi-public buildings. The LAUFEN Smart system integrates IoT technology, enabling real-time monitoring and remote control of water usage through an intuitive app. This innovative approach enables Facility Managers and Building Owners to effectively manage both their water consumption and maintenance.
The modern bathroom is increasingly viewed as a wellness space, blending design and comfort. LAUFEN’s holistic approach ensures seamless interaction between different collections, providing complete solutions that prioritise aesthetics and technology. The CLEANET shower toilet collection is a prime example, offering personalised hygiene options through app-controlled settings, from water temperature to LED lighting and air purification.
Under the theme “The Meeting Point of Waters” we invite you to experience the convergence of groundbreaking innovations and cutting-edge technologies as we unveil exciting new projects, shaped by a deep reverence for resources and design. The message is clear: the bathroom of tomorrow is more than the sum of its functions. It’s a highly personalised living space that harnesses technology to take better care of people and the planet.
