LAUFEN holds Cradle to Cradle Certified® Circularity Bronze

Cradle to Cradle Certified® is the leading global standard for products designed to be good for people and the planet. For over a decade it has guided companies in optimising materials and products against the most advanced science-based measures available. As a Type I environmental label aligned with ISO 14020 and 14024, it is a voluntary, third-party certification that recognises achievements across multiple sustainability categories, based on life cycle thinking, for a safe, circular and responsible economy.

Cradle to Cradle Certified® Circularity is the newest addition to the programme, focused specifically on product circularity. Ensuring products are intentionally designed for their next use, it sets measurable goals, such as reuse and recycling, across product design, material sourcing, packaging and end-of-life pathways. Backed by independent third-party verification, the certification allows companies to demonstrate tangible progress towards circular economy leadership, while supporting compliance with evolving regulation including the European Union’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and the Digital Product Passport. 

The ceramic products fired in the E-Kiln at the Gmunden factory have been awarded Cradle to Cradle Certified® Circularity Bronze. The certification reflects LAUFEN’s ongoing commitment to advancing the circular economy through both product innovation and manufacturing practice.
