LAUFEN space Delhi – New Opening

LAUFEN space in Delhi is conceived as a place of movement, perception and dialogue. Inspired by the kaleidoscope as a symbol of diversity and transformation, the space offers a contemporary interpretation of Swiss design values within one of India’s most vibrant cultural and creative contexts. More than a showroom, it functions as a platform where architecture, materiality and innovation intersect. 

Designed by the architecture studio Ultraconfidentiel, the space is structured around a calm and precise architectural language. Clean lines, refined surfaces and carefully controlled lighting create a neutral envelope that allows form and material to take centre stage. Within this serene framework, colour appears not as decoration but as an active spatial element, subtly altering perception and atmosphere. 

Custom acrylic rod partitions introduce rhythm and depth to the space. Acting as chromatic filters, they respond to movement and light, generating shifting perspectives as visitors move through the environment. The result is a dynamic yet balanced spatial experience, where clarity and transformation coexist.

The LAUFEN space unfolds as a carefully choreographed journey. Textures, finishes and light frame the brand’s premium bathroom collections, elevating them into sculptural elements within the architecture. The darker and more intimate palette of this area enhances the precision and expressive qualities of the products, reinforcing LAUFEN’s vision of the bathroom as a holistic living space. 

Alongside the exhibition areas, the space balances openness with moments of focus. Collaborative zones and quieter settings are integrated seamlessly, supported by natural daylight and subtle biophilic gestures that soften the architectural rigour without compromising its clarity.

A distinctive layer of authenticity is introduced through handcrafted tiles produced by Indian artisans. These elements bring tactility and cultural depth to the space, creating a dialogue between local craftsmanship and LAUFEN’s Swiss design heritage. Each handmade piece reflects a respect for tradition, material knowledge and human skill, aligning naturally with the brand’s commitment to quality and longevity.
