Located in Maastricht in the south of the Netherlands, OYSANA Spa & Sports forms part of the five-star Van Oys Maastricht Retreat, set within the historic estate of Kasteel Oost and surrounded by the rolling landscape of South Limburg.
Rooted in the philosophy of LifeFulness and inspired by the longevity principles of the world’s Blue Zones, OYSANA brings together nature, science and personalised wellbeing. Spa rituals, biohacking, movement and performance experiences are designed to support vitality, balance and sustainable wellbeing.
An organic approach to wellness
Designed by Amsterdam-based Rosenthal Interiors & Partners, OYSANA reflects this philosophy through an interior of soft curves, rounded openings and natural tones. The flowing forms create a sense of continuity throughout the spa, while the palette draws on the colours and landscape of South Limburg.
For Sara Rosenthal, creating the right atmosphere is an essential part of the wellness experience:

The approach has already received international recognition, with Hotel Spa van Oys Maastricht by Rosenthal Interiors & Partners named the 2026 Luxury Lifestyle Award winner for Hotel Spa Interior Design in the Netherlands.
A tactile expression in VITREON Steel
In the treatment rooms, VITREON Steel washbasins AQUA in deep green add a rich colour accent, complementing the natural palette of the interiors. Silk matt and white TERRA washbasins are used in the float room, gym and changing rooms, where their understated finish sits naturally alongside the surrounding materials.
Across the different spaces, the steel washbasins combine practical functionality with a distinctive material expression, complementing the organic character of the spa.
The result is a considered interplay of architecture, colour and material that supports OYSANA’s philosophy of wellbeing.
