SINGLE FAMILY HOME, MERGOSCIA, SWITZERLAND

The house, built in the 80s on a hillside with a view of Lake Maggiore, was completely gutted, overhauled, and adapted to the visions of the new owner.

In the previously low and dark rooms, all ceiling and wall panelling was removed. New, large window openings not only allow more daylight into the house, but also allow the spectacular landscape to be experienced indoors.

Breathable lime plaster has been applied to all the interiors and generous boards of white oiled parquet have been laid. A sophisticated lighting concept makes the rooms appear brighter and larger.

Windows, building services, roof, exterior shell and swimming pool were renovated and brought up to the latest energy standards. By connecting the grotto and the top floor with the two living floors, the house could be used to its full spatial potential.

By a clever room layout up to 12 persons can sleep comfortably. The garden and the external surfaces were style cleaned and optimized in the maintenance.
