LAUFEN at ISH 2025 highlights sustainability with the world’s first CO2-free electric kiln, water-saving solutions, smart technology, and holistic bathroom design.
LAUFEN at ISH 2025 puts innovation and sustainability at its core, inviting visitors to experience the engaging space centred around its core topics: continuous technological research, the evolution of design, the dialogue with the world of architecture and above all a future that prioritises sustainability and demonstrates greater care for natural resources.
We’re committed to reducing our impact on people and the environment and central to this year's ISH is the world's first electric tunnel kiln for sanitary ceramics production. Visitors are invited to take a closer look at ceramic products fired without carbon emissions from our advanced plant in Gmunden, home to the world’s first CO2-free electric kiln for sanitary ceramics. Roca Group has long pursued its goal of net-zero emissions by 2045 and the launch of the world's first electric tunnel kiln for sanitary ceramics marks a significant step toward achieving this.
LAUFEN also knows that the use of water and recycled wastewater are fundamental to our future and represent significant challenges and opportunities. The revolutionary toilet save! with urine separator is now being utilised in locations across the world and will be showcased at ISH. Developed in collaboration with Austrian design studio EOOS the Source Separation Technology, diverts urine from the remaining wastewater through a channel inside the toilet. This approach ensures that various types of waste are processed more efficiently, enabling the recovery of valuable resources whilst having the appearance of a standard WC pan.
The evocative water installation on the booth embodies the message of water saving that is increasingly central to the design of faucets and shower controls. Visitors will discover the extensive options created in collaboration with international designers that complete any bathroom scenario. The seamless integration of sustainability and aesthetics is evident with products combining ergonomic design with reduced water and energy consumption. Utilising durable and low maintenance cartridges with Eco or Eco+ functions ensures the careful consumption of water while the ready availability of spare parts eliminates the need to discard the entire faucet, extending the product life.
Water conservation for building managers is a particular challenge, and LAUFEN continues to develop smart solutions for public and semi-public buildings. The LAUFEN Smart system integrates IoT technology, enabling real-time monitoring and remote control of water usage through an intuitive app. This innovative approach enhances efficiency while supporting sustainability efforts, enabling Facility Managers and Building Owners to effectively manage both their water consumption and maintenance.
The modern bathroom is increasingly viewed as a wellness space, blending design and comfort. LAUFEN’s holistic approach ensures seamless interaction between different collections, providing complete solutions that prioritise aesthetics and technology. The CLEANET range of shower toilets is a prime example, offering personalised hygiene options through app-controlled settings, from water temperature to LED lighting and air purification which integrate seamlessly with our collections.
Under the theme “The Meeting Point of Waters” we invite you to experience the convergence of groundbreaking innovations and cutting-edge technologies as we unveil exciting new projects, shaped by a deep reverence for resources and design. The message is clear: the bathroom of tomorrow is more than the sum of its functions. It’s a highly personalised living space that seamlessly integrates technology, sustainability, and individual well-being.
