More than a conventional showroom, Sydney Gallery is conceived as an architectural environment where design, materiality and technology are experienced as a unified whole. An architectural space shaped by light and material
Located in Surry hills, the gallery occupies a two-level heritage building reinterpreted by the international architecture and design practice DKO. The intervention preserves elements of the existing structure while introducing a contemporary language defined by clarity, proportion and fluid circulation.
Light plays a central role in shaping the experience of the space, guiding movement and enhancing the perception of materials. Within this framework, LAUFEN washbasins, toilets and complete solutions for premium bathrooms are integrated as part of the architecture, reinforcing the relationship between form, function and material innovation.
