Accor Design Awards X LAUFEN
Celebrating ten years of designing what comes next
Celebrating ten years of designing what comes next
This year marks the tenth edition of the Accor Design Awards, and LAUFEN's continued support of the programme as a founding partner.
The Awards exist to put real briefs in front of architecture and design students worldwide, an opportunity to sharpen their design skills, build a portfolio to impress prospective employers, and for the Jury's chosen winners, to experience Accor's design network.
For its 2026 edition, the competition turned its attention to Pullman, a brand built on innovation, connection and a forward-thinking spirit. Students were asked to reimagine meeting and event spaces that draw in both local community and guests alike, conceived to embody the spirit of Pullman.
The judging panel was led this year by Rodrigo Marcondes Ferraz of FGMF Arquitetos, the practice behind Pullman São Paulo Ibirapuera’s renovation, bringing a judge's eye shaped by direct experience of building within the brand he was now asking students to reinterpret.
Winners were announced at an awards ceremony hosted at the LAUFEN Forum on 17 June, where the new generation of talent met the people shaping hospitality design today, networking with the Accor design team and the Head Judge, as well as other sponsors, before a two-day itinerary built around Architecture During Art, LAUFEN's cultural programme that runs alongside Art Basel each year.
