MEDA Bathroom collection: Modular and timeless

One bathroom for a lifetime? This new bathroom series can make it happen.

Serene, geometric, elegant and flexible: LAUFEN’s new bathroom series MEDA feels familiar from the very first moment and fits into any environment, from rented apartments to hotel suites.

Swiss design, Swiss quality

Designer Peter Wirz, whose company VETICA has studios in Zurich, Lucerne, Hamburg and Taipei, designed the highly successful PRO bathroom series for LAUFEN 20 years ago. It remains a true classic of simple and timeless design.

The current MEDA collection builds on this success by exploiting the possibilities offered by new production technology and new design options. At the same time it’s important to maintain the proven virtues of clear forms reduced to the essentials, timeless elegance, and functionality suited to everyday use.

As a reliable friend in the background:
A quality collection that works for everyone and for every home

“The passion my team and I share is ensuring the quality and pleasure of daily use of the products through good design,” says Wirz. “Creating something that pleases a majority is the ultimate art of good design.”

MEDA impresses with its legible geometry that runs through the entire collection–rectangular on the outside with a clear profile, softer on the inside with wide and gentle curves. Storage surfaces on the washbasins and even on the faucets are cleverly integrated into the design with great attention to detail.

Universal in all respects: “Made for Life”

From the market launch, the entire MEDA collection is available. It includes a wide variety of washbasins, toilets, bidets, bathtubs, and a full range of faucets and bathroom furniture. Because all components in the series are modular, MEDA offers many design options suitable for almost any bathroom and environment.

Universal bathroom also means that the bathtub, for example, made of thin-walled Marbond in matching color, is available in three versions for free-standing, wall or corner installations. An equally wide variety of faucets combine timeless design with state-of-the-art technology and offer clever details such as a mini shelf for shampoo and shower gel on the shower mixer.

Furniture for the complete MEDA bathroom

To match MEDA, Peter Wirz has developed a bathroom furniture collection perfectly adapted to the washbasins. The furniture is marked by a clear, linear design with narrow sides, elegantly softened by curved corners. Drawers with full extension, soft close and high-quality hardware offer convenient and durable storage.

Any wish for color can be fulfilled. With more than 40 different coatings, MEDA can be matched to nearly all popular interior designs.

All LAUFEN furniture is manufactured in Europe.
