The New Classic:

During Designblok 2025, LAUFEN space Prague becomes a stage for The New Classic by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. Originally premiered at Casa Decor in Madrid, the installation now unfolds in Prague as a tribute to emotion, craftsmanship and timeless beauty.

Refined curves and harmonious proportions define The New Classic, a collection that reinterprets classical forms with a contemporary sensibility. For Wanders, the bathroom is not just a functional space but a setting for reflection and ritual, where modernity meets elegance and serenity.

The collection is crafted from LAUFEN’s innovative Saphirkeramik, whose exceptional strength and precision allow for delicate yet durable forms – a testament to Swiss engineering and the brand’s commitment to advancing bathroom design.

Marcel Wanders, renowned for his poetic and human-centred approach, has created over 1,900 projects for global brands including Alessi, Baccarat, Flos and Louis Vuitton. His collaboration with LAUFEN embodies a shared vision: uniting functionality and beauty through design.
